I've been coaching hockey since the start of the 2023-2024 season, and I love getting to help the girls learn and improve on the ice. I coached with Top Prospects Goaltending weekly during the winter 2023-2024 season, as well as being the goalie coach for U13 AA Fire Red Elite, head coached by Kyle Wanvig, for the season. During this spring and summer 2024 season, I coached for SDR Hockey Academy as a goalie coach, assistant bench coach, and timekeeper to make sure the girls improve in practice and games. I also goalie coached for the PHD Panthers organisation, directed by Kyle Wanvig.
Since I was in my first year of peewee (U13), I've also been subbing for teams who have needed goalies, and I absolutely love doing it. No matter the skill of the players, whether they're much better than me or not, I have never said no to being a sub for a team, unless I had a prior commitment with my own team or school of course. I think it's a great opportunity to help make both the team and myself better by having to work with together with people you aren't familiar with, and try to work towards a common goal of winning the game. It's very fun to be able to meet new people through being a sub, and it helps to get used to performing in unfamiliar environments with unfamiliar people and being pressured to perform at your very best to give the people in front of you a chance to win the game.
During the summer of 2022 I had the chance to volunteer to be a cook in the kitchen of Camp Pringle, located on Shawnigan Lake on Vancouver Island. During the volunteer work I was working together with the other kitchen staff and volunteers to make meals for over 100 people with different dietary restrictions in a timely manner. This included making all the regular meals in a day along with snacks for the campers throughout the day, as well as serving the meals to the campers and couselors in a cafeteria-like style. During the time I was there the kitchen staff and I had to overcome obstacles such as power outages and limited time, which helped us work together even better throughout my time there.

I'm currently attending The Mount Academy as a post grad to help elevate my game on the ice and upgrade my grades in the classroom. We are on the ice and in the gym training every day from Monday to Thursday, and on weekends we travel around eastern Canada and the U.S. for tournaments and games. Playing here is a full time commitment that I absolutely love and look forward to every day!
During the 2021-2022 season and 2022-2023 season, I attended private sessions with my mentor, Marlène Boissonnault. Together, Marlène and I looked at my game to identify and fix things that weren't so good in my game, and improved my speed on the ice, habits, and technical ability by introducing new and useful moves and tricks. In the 2022-2024 time period I also attended weekly sessions with Top Prospects Goaltending, coached by Brad Kirkwood, Katie Greenway, and Marlène Boissonnault to help better my game in every way possible.
During the 2022-2024 spring seasons I attended the STIX collegiate female elite program, Mustangs Spring Program, and TPG weekly sessions to help elevate my game even more for the following seasons. It helped me greatly improve on every aspect of my game.
Whenever I'm on the ice during practices, I always find at least one part of my game to work on and get better at, and spend my time in drills practicing those things as much as I possibly can. I like to video myself in games and practices as it helps me identify areas of my game to work on, either on ice or off ice, and this helps me consistently get better during the season, as well as identify what my strengths are that don't require as much attention at that time.
I have lots of goals for my future hockey career, some of which include:
These are goals I've had since I started playing hockey and playing in any of these leagues would be a dream come true. I am willing to do anything and everything it takes to reach them.
